This past weekend at the Power 12 Showcase in Jackson, New Jersey was one I’ll never forget. From the first pitch to the last out, everything just clicked — both at the plate and in the circle.
Offensively, I felt locked in all weekend. I went 6-for-12, batting .500 with 4 RBIs and 4 runs scored. I was seeing the ball really well and focused on driving it to all fields. It’s always a great feeling to contribute to my team’s offense and help keep the momentum going in tight games.
But what made this weekend extra special was what happened on the mound. I threw 8.2 innings total, earning 1 win with zero losses, allowing only 3 earned runs and 3 walks. Most importantly — and most exciting — I threw a complete game no-hitter against the 16U Heist team.
The no-hitter went five innings, and everything just felt right — my fastball had movement, my changeup was on point, and my defense backed me up every step of the way. As a pitcher, there’s nothing quite like that moment when you realize you’re heading into the final inning with a no-hitter still alive. The adrenaline kicks in, but you have to stay calm and just keep hitting your spots. When that last out was made, it was pure excitement — a mix of relief, pride, and joy.
Throwing a no-hitter is always special, but doing it at such a premier college showcase tournament like the Power 12 made it even more meaningful. It’s an opportunity to play in front of college coaches, compete against top talent, and show what you’ve been working so hard to achieve.
For those who want to check it out, the highlights of my complete game no-hitter is now available to watch on my website.
It was an incredible weekend filled with great competition, amazing teammates, and memories that will last a long time. Now it’s back to work — time to keep building, improving, and getting ready for the next challenge.
